Inspired kids isn’t something you see often these days. Kids are usually bored, fed up, and imitating their parents behaviour and attitude – usually negative. If you want the best for your kids, you know, to have them grow up happy adults doing something they enjoy, then you need to put some work in now.
The thing is, kid’s brains are like sponges. If they are around too much negativity and limited thinking while they’re young, they’ll soak it all up. They won’t know that they have these unconscious programs running in the background, and until they do realize it and work to combat them, they’ll repeat the same patterns over and over again. They’ll wonder why their relationships never work, for instance, they’ll wonder why they can’t get to where they want to be in their career, why they can’t catch a break in any aspect of their lives…the list goes on. It’s why so many adults act the way they do now, and they don’t even know it.
If you want the best for your kids, you need to show them that the best is possible. Here are 4 ways to inspire your children (they might just inspire you too)…
Read To Them Every Night
Reading to your kids every night encourages them to use their imaginations, as well as improves their vocabularies and encourages listening skills. When they are old enough, you can get them to read to you, too! Get into the habit of reading to your kids every night before bed. Read them inspiring stories that you know will stick with them – perhaps ones that touched you when you were young. Kids never forget a great story and the way it made them feel!
Be A Great Role Model
If you want to inspire your children, you don’t have to say a word. You just have to act like the person you’d want them to be when they grew up. Being a great role model means positive thinking, a can-do attitude, a willingness to continue learning, stepping out of your comfort zone, being creative…just being an all round great person in general!
Select A Great School
Choosing a great school for your kids is important, as they’ll be around the teachers and kids there on a daily basis. Read reviews and find the school that stands out above the rest. You could even meet with teachers for peace of mind. Ensure they do things like go on residential trips for schools, as these sort of trips will help your kids to connect with the world around them and experience a variety of fun situations. Take your time to find the best place for them!
Encourage The Power Of Positive Thinking
Positive thinking is one of the most powerful things you can teach your kids, alongside meditation. You can literally program your kid’s brain to reach for a positive thought over a negative thought, and it’s the culmination of their thoughts that helps to create their life. If you want them to reach for the stars, accomplish their goals, and love their life, this is a must!
